Chesapeake Health Care’s Dental Staff Volunteers at the Mission of Mercy Event

Chesapeake Health Care dentists, hygienists, staff, and dental residents were among hundreds of oral health professionals who volunteered their services recently. More than 1,100 veterans and residents of the Eastern Shore attended the Eastern Shore Mission of Mercy event, which was held at the Wicomico County Youth and Civic Center on March 10-11, 2017. Our staff worked more than 12 hours each day, providing dental services including fillings, extractions, and dental cleanings – all completely free of charge.

More than 100 million people in the United States are without dental insurance. On the Eastern Shore there are thousands of adults that don’t receive even the most basic dental care. We are proud of our staff who represented Chesapeake Health Care in providing much needed dental care to members in our community at this event.
