The Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) is responsible for providing primary care services, including assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, treating, and educating patients. He/she works closely with physicians and other clinicians in a team approach to patient care. This position reports to their supervising physician or department head. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday. Excellent benefit package included.
Essential job functions of this position include but are not limited to:
- Performs comprehensive physical assessments; evaluating, diagnosing, and treating new and existing patient’s medical conditions.
- Initiates and interprets labs and x-ray study results including CTs & MRIs.
- Performs medical procedures with appropriate credentialing.
- Refers patients for specialized consultation.
- Assists physicians in medical procedures.
- Uses prescriptive authority to write prescription medicines for patients.
- Enters/Dictates progress notes on patients’ charts indicating patient status and treatment procedures performed.
- Conducts follow-up patient care.
- Provides health education to patients and families.
Qualifications
Education
- MSN required
- Successful completion of advanced practitioner training and certification as a practitioner from an approved nurse practitioner program.
- Current Maryland state registered nurse license and advanced registered nurse practitioner license with prescriptive authority.
Experience
1 – 2 years of Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner experience
