Who We Are
At Chesapeake Health Care, we proudly serve the healthcare needs of the communities of the three lower counties of the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Since our founding, we’ve been committed to providing accessible, compassionate, and comprehensive healthcare to every member of our community.
With over 170 providers across 22 locations in Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester counties, we offer accessible, comprehensive care to our community. Our team includes board-certified physicians, nurse practitioners, dentists, behavioral health specialists, and support staff dedicated to your wellbeing. We also provide a Sliding Fee Scale based on income to ensure everyone has access to quality healthcare, regardless of their ability to pay.

Special Programs
As a Community Health Center, we offer financial and insurance assistance (including a sliding-fee scale, based on your household income and family size), interpretation services in multiple languages, transportation assistance for medical appointments, case management to help navigate healthcare systems, prescription discounts through the 340B program, and laboratory service discounts. Our Hours of Operation
Standard Chesapeake Health Care office hours are from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. However, certain offices have extended hours including early morning and evening appointments to accommodate your work schedule. Please visit our locations page for specific hours, phone numbers, services offered, and directions for each individual health center.
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please give us at least 24 hours’ notice. This allows us to schedule other patients. Also, please report any changes in your name, address, phone number, or insurance information when you phone or visit the health center.
Accepting New Patients: We welcome new patients and accept most insurance plans including Medicaid (Maryland Medical Assistance), Medicare, private insurance, and marketplace plans. For uninsured patients, we offer a Sliding Fee Scale based on household income and family size.

Do I need insurance to be seen?
No. Chesapeake Health Care welcomes all patients regardless of insurance status. We accept most insurance plans, and for uninsured or underinsured patients, we offer a Sliding Fee Scale based on your household income and family size. No one is turned away for inability to pay.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Call the specific location where you’d like to be seen, or contact our main number at 410-749-1015 for assistance. We offer same-day appointments for urgent needs and accept walk-ins at select locations. You can also use our Patient Portal to request appointments online.
What services do you provide?
We offer comprehensive healthcare including primary care (adult and pediatric), dental, OB/GYN, behavioral health, pharmacy services, lab work, immunizations, chronic disease management, preventive care, and much more. Our integrated approach means all your family’s healthcare needs can be met in one place.
Do you have after-hours care?
For medical emergencies, always call 911. For urgent but non-emergency issues after hours, we have on-call providers available.
