Dental Assistant – Princess Anne, MD

The Dental Assistant is a member of the dental health services team and performs duties and related support according to established policies and protocols of CHC dental department. This position is a Monday through Friday position working 40 hours per week. Full benefit package included.

Essential Job Functions of this position include but not limited to:

  • Prepares dental materials correctly, as needed, and in an amount sufficient to meet the needs of the procedure without excessive waste of materials
  • Prepares operatories, disinfect rooms, monitors equipment and supplies, and maintains film developing and processing equipment; including replenishing fluid levels, cleanliness, etc.
  • Assures that all instruments, charts, and radiographs are available prior to patient’s arrival.
  • Ensures chart information is accurate and complete and follows with the appropriate personnel.
  • Tracks lab cases according to established procedures.
  • Performs assigned housekeeping tasks and housekeeping documentation.

Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Radiology certified preferred

Hispanic and Haitian Creole Interpreters

Interpreters – Hispanic and Haitian Creole (All locations)

The Interpreter provides medical translation services to non-English speakers. They help patients comminute with medical staff, doctors, and nurses. They ensure the complete understanding of medical information between, doctors, nurses, medical staff, Hispanic, Haitian, and Migrant patients. They translate a wide range of medical information that includes medical conditions, treatment options, follow-up appointment details, etc. The Interpreter works as part of the clinical team and is responsible for accurate interpretation services for patients and staff.  This position reports to the Clinical Manager of their site. This position is a Monday through Friday position working 40 hours per week. Full benefit package included.

Essential Job Functions of this position include but not limited to:

  • Accurately interprets for non-English speaking Hispanic and Haitian patients and their family members in all aspects of their visit, with providers, nursing staff, and support staff.
  • Accurately translates any written communications from English into Spanish or Creole and assists patients in properly completing necessary paperwork.
  • Works closely with providers to contact patients on their behalf, due to language barrier, to insure understanding of provider’s orders, prescriptions, appointment, lab work, referrals, etc.

The Medical Receptionist is the first point of contact for all patients utilizing our facilities for health care.  They manage the timely and accurate collection of patient information, and function as a resource to all patients/clients.  This position reports to the Clinical Manager. Essential Job Functions of this position include but not limited to:

  • Performs various clerical duties in department.
  • Verifies insurance status.
  • Accurately enters information ensuring financial processing.
  • Answers patient inquiries about their account information, insurance filing, co-pays, etc. or directs callers to appropriate department.  Collects patient co-pays.
  • Schedules visits, tests and procedures as directed.  Prepares requisitions for testing.  Obtains pre-certification authorization.
  • Utilize computers, adding machines, fax machines, phones and other related office equipment in the fulfillment of assigned duties.
  • Communicate verbally and/or by writing with staff members, patients and their families.
  • Participate in Patient Centered Medical Home care team as directed by team leader.

The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program Worker will assist professionals from a wide variety of fields, such as social work, psychology, or rehabilitation, to provide client services, as well as support for families in hopes to improve the social and psychological functioning of clients and their families. The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program Worker is ultimately maximizing the client and family well-being and overall functioning. This position will report to the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program Director.

Essential Job Functions of this position include but not limited to:

Engages in face to face contact with clients at a minimum of three times per month for youth and six times per month for adults.

  • Interviews individuals and family members to compile information on social, educational, criminal, institutional, or drug history and to assess social and emotional capabilities, physical and mental impairments, and financial needs.
  • Formulates Individual Rehabilitation Plans based on client’s needs and services to be provided.
  • Designs mentoring services specific to the individuals needs such as peer interaction, effective communication, self-help skills, completion of age-appropriate activities of daily living, frustration tolerance, etc.
  • Educates individuals or family members regarding behavior modifications, rehabilitation, social adjustments, financial assistance, vocational training, child care or medical care.
  • Transport individuals to and from PRP services.
  • Advocates for client and family and assists in linkage to community resources.
  • Coordination with client’s therapist and medication prescriber to assist in meeting treatment needs as a team.
  • Completes contact notes, documents relevant contacts with or about the individual, completes monthly summary of client progress and documentation of any other necessary contacts.
  • Serves as a liaison between student, home, school, therapist, family service agencies, courts, protective services, doctors and clergy members.

Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • 2-5 years’ experience with mentoring of children ages 6-18 in a structured behavioral health, rehabilitation or mentoring program

RN/LPN – OB/GYN, Salisbury MD.

The nurse will provide relevant nursing and support services in a pediatric primary care office.  They will participate in care team to develop and implement plan of care following Patient Centered Medical Home model. Will provide care for patients with acute, chronic, and/or terminal illnesses.  Within the scope of Maryland Nurse Practice Act, the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse may be assigned specific responsibilities for certain direct patient services. Sonographer – Part-time – Salisbury

This is a part-time position working on Monday and Friday.

The Sonographer works as medical imaging professional who provides clinically relevant information to assist the physician with the diagnosis and treatment of OB patients. The Sonographer works as part of a diverse team of OB sonographers skilled in the care of high-risk obstetric patients. This position reports to the Clinical Manager.

Essential Job Functions of this position include but not limited to:

  • Performs high-risk ultrasound studies in accordance with AIUM (American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine) guidelines.
  • Performs nuchal translucency studies in accordance with FMF (Fetal Medicine Foundation) guidelines.
  • Maintains ARDMS (The American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) and FMF (Fetal Medicine Foundation) certifications as required.
  • Assists physician in invasive procedures (i.e. CVS, amniocentesis).
  • Works as a team member in keeping rooms stocked, and cleaned, and reports problems with equipment as needed.
  • Properly disinfect ultrasound probes as needed.
  • Properly dispose of biohazardous material as needed.
  • Performs charting in Viewpoint in a timely manner
  • Efficiently uses Athena and Viewpoint for scheduling and reporting of exams.

 

Qualifications

Education

  • Completion of an Accredited Ultrasound Program
  • Registered in OB/GYN by the ARDMS (New graduate must be registered within 6 months of hire.
  • Certification through the FMF in nuchal translucency and nasal bone within 1 year of employment.

Experience

  • Experience in high-risk OB ultrasound preferred
